Pressure is force per unit area and as the area decreases for a given force so the pressure will increase. When we are comparing high heels and flat shoes, high heels have small area than flat shoes. There for, the pressure creating by high heels is higher than that of flat shoes while same person wearing it. That’s why it gives a lot of pain when we get trampled by high heels than flat shoes.

In a tree, water is pulled from the roots up to the leaves through a network of microscopic tubes called xylem. Ground water is absorbed by the root hairs by the process known as osmosis. And then, the water is conducted to upper parts of the tree by Capillary Action of the xylem vessels and the root pressure. Fresh cut tree doesn’t mean that all of the parts of the tree are going to die. Some parts including root system and xylem vessels are survive for several days. Because of that water goes up through the tree trunk until the root system destroyed completely.

Red-eye effect occurs most often with flash photography in dark environments. The eye regulates the amount of entering light by contracting or expanding the pupil. At night, your pupils will accordingly enlarge to extract more light from their surroundings. When light from the flasher enters your eyes under these conditions, your pupils are unable to contract fast enough to prevent the light from reflecting off of the red blood vessels of the choroid. As a result of that, the camera will pick up the reflection red blood vessels.

Light enter through the cornea of pupil. By changing the size, pupil control the amount of light entering the eyes. When someone is exposed to a brighter light, it decreases the size of pupil, and get small amount of light into eyes. In a darker environment, eyes increase the size of pupil to get more light. It takes some time to adjust the pupil according to the corresponding light. So when someone suddenly enters to a darker room from outside, (which has a brighter light)it take some time to adjust, so he feels dark for some time.
