A special layer called Tapetum Lucidum found in cats eyes,reflects the light back.This is located behind the retina. The light that falls on retina,also falls on this layer and gets reflected. The reflected light increases the brightness inside the eye.This gives them night vision ability.And this shine makes their pupil glow in different colours.
